take lots of vitamin c to boost your immune system, and zinc will help your cold go away a little faster. coldeeze drops work very well, and ive heard that Zicam swabs work great too but i havent tried them.
other than that, just drink lots of fluids, get lots of rest, and take some cold medicine to relieve your symptoms.
hope you feel better soon!

Colds come as result of an imbalance of inflow and outflow of native force and energy. A fit body tends to keep the immune system fit, in which a balance of rest and activity are sustained.
Without this, the microbes step in and attempt to take over, zapping you of the energy of which your are already short.

That blah feeling is due to this very fact.

Aside from increasing the Vitamin C, which I do suggest, you will need to give your colon a cleanse and a rest... Try a fruit juice in volume, one which softens the content in the large intestine and carries away the contents where all of those microbes are residing and which has brought down your immune response.

Grape juice is a very good one, very good! that of the purple grape, not the green grape or any other. The purple grape has a peculiar make-up in the respect of helping purge the colon of microbes like those that cause common colds. Point is, these microbes are too well-nested, too comfortable and are multiplying right now, see? because they have much to thrive on down there in the colon...

Give them nothing to hold on to, wash them away, see?

It works, simply...

Cold symptoms often respond well to homeopathic remedies.

At the very first sign of a cold, take 1/3 tube of Anas barbariae (sold under various brand names, including Oscillococcinum), as directed on the product label, three times daily for one day. Then, during the acute phase of the cold, take one dose of one of the symptom-specific homeopathic remedies below three to four times daily for three days. If there is no improvement at all after three doses of a remedy, it is unlikely that it will do anything more. Switch to another that matches your symptoms and temperament. If you feel better before three days have passed, stop taking the remedy.

Suggested Dosage: Take 12c every two hours for a maximum of four doses.

Aconite is often prescribed when you have a barking cough, a burning sore throat, and a bitter taste that lingers in your mouth.

Allium cepa is often prescribed when your runny nose feels as though it burns, your eyes water constantly, and you sneeze often. This is homeopathic red onion. It is recommended if your cold makes you feel even worse than you do when you are chopping a strong onion.

Arsenicum album is indicated iIf you feel chilly, restless, and weak. ( 30x or 9c.) This remedy is for the individual who, feels worse in a cold room but wants something cold to drink. You probably have a red nose and runny nasal secretions that burn the nose and upper lip. You generally want to be left alone, but like a bit of attention every once in a while.

Belladonna is called for if there is high fever and a headache.

Bryonia is indicated when the cold has moved into the chest and has become largely a cough.

Dulcamara
Dulcamara is indicated for cold when you are opinionated and uptight and shows the following specific symptoms:

Brought on by weather changing from hot to cold
Profuse, watery discharge from nose and eyes
Aggravation from catching a cold
Also gets conjunctivitis, diarrhea, cystitis, lower-back pain
Hay fever, especially at the end of summer or in fall.

Curing pills work for some people. or Gan Mao Ling

I like airborne! If I take it fast enough I am well before the day ends. I give it to my kids before school and they don't get sick at all when the other kids are sniffling and coughing all around them. If I don't give airborne to them, they do get sick, so I have learned that that stuff works!

Drinking fluids, making a real chicken soup from scratch (with garlic in it!) will really help too. I also add hot peppers to open my sinuses. Drink that broth!

The homeopathic suggestions are good. I would like to add a nice, almost hot bath. It will raise your body temperature, a false fever, and make your body kick into high gear to fight the infection or virus. If you have any essential oils add a few drops of lavender or eucalyptus.
Let it run it's course and try to stay comfortable.
Hot tea with lemon and honey can be soothing- wrap up in a nice warm blanket, that is if you are in a colder climate!
