First i see that your boyfriend is not very verbal and since you require much lively vocal expression you will eventually become annoyed by his refusal to open up to you. His inability to communicate honestly with you leaves you completely unaware of his true feeling about his own life and family and his long term intentions towards you. In most respects this is just fine with you, since he is not the most important element in your relationship anyway.

I get the feeling if you are asking, you have something going on in your relationship that would make you question
"Is it really worth it" ?
So I would say if you have to ask and question it "move on" and find what you are looking for, something more satisfying to your soul.

as long as he continues to stay in contact with his ex, he is not ready to fully commit to you. The cell phone text messaging needs to stop between the two of them. You should also probably stop flirting with that guy with the brown hair and blue eyes also. It makes your boyfriend jealous and while he may not say anything, it makes him think you aren't ready for a commitment either. Overall, I see this relationship as a transitional relationship for both of you. Neither one of you seems to be taking it very serious.
