Beauty is only skin deep, but ugly goes to the bone.

What a bunch of ******* hypocrites that answered this question. You contradicted yourselves.

You admit beauty is skin deep, then say ugliness goes down to the bone. Then why don't you just say beauty goes down to the bone instead? You're all just shallow trying to justify being beautiful is better but you failed cos you admitted it's only skin deep, so ha ha ******* failures. Any normal person will see the paradox here.

Saying beauty is skin deep, is admiting looks are skin deep. So that indicates that ugliness is only skin deep.
You all must be confident of your looks, well you are ******* failures, deluded assclowns.

There should be a ******* moron section where ******* shallow retards can stay. keep out of the normal forum please.

Since I am the poster child for ugly I think I understand this reasoning. The ugly can never win the beauty pageant but we can go to bed at night and tell ourselves we are the better person. We must demonize the beautiful. We must hold on to the hope that in some way we are superior to them. Please don't take this away from us. The beautiful have the magazine covers, the movies, the dates, etc. All we have are some shallow sayings to make us feel better. If they are really beautiful to the core....well...it just wouldn't be fair.

That is so true! If you are ugly to somebody it doesn't mean you are an ugly person. As far as I am concerned ugly, like beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If my husband had a terrible accident tomorrow which left him hideously deformed, I would definately still find him as beautiful as I always did because he would still be my baby underneath. I just hope he would feel the same ! ( although he already loves me now so he's not far off!)

This is all a low self esteem issue--millions of people are never satisfied with the way they appear. You need to know that you cannot change what you have--you need to tone it all down and dress for you stature--keep the make up to a minimum---do your hair in a flattering style-- a nice white smile. Work on YOU--stop with the sister envy---you are an individual--you have your own talents and abilities--don't live in anyone's shadow. Forget the past---Stand tall. join some groups who will appreciate you for what you bring. Be interesting--be a good listener....ignore disrespectful people. Do good in school, too. Relax, smile and good luck

Because the ugly grow such a thick skin that "skin deep" becomes deeper than skin.

because ugliness is more often not viewed on the outside than on the inside. even though its basically the same with beauty ugliness is not something people are usually fond of.

thats my guess.

thats a very good question actually.
