What a great question! I think that because this generation is used to instant gratification... If you aren't good enough to figure out a video game then you find cheats... Also you see the various young celebrities of the week or rap stars who seem to be no one last week and this week rolling in money...Also if you ever need some info then just hop on the Internet! Instant answers! (not that the latter is necessarily a bad thing).

It is sad because there is no such thing as easy money. Legally, at least... And many are setting themselves up for a life long struggle to find it. Best to stay in school, work hard and invest well... It will work out better that way! Believe me, I know... I have a 57 year old brother who will have to work until his dying day because all his life he tried to beat the odds...

The young people today are so used to getting money out of their parents they just assume it'll be a cinch when they get in the real world.

they are optimistic, and they havent had the chance to be stuck in situations yet. If you make the right decisions when you are young, it can be easy. It gets harder when you get older, and you have lots of liabilities, that keep you from taking chances.

99% of all teenagers for the last 50 years had no clue as to how to provide for a family. They had to learn the hard way.

Our society unfortunately does not "teach or instill" any values on earning money. They are bombarded with the notion that you "must and can" have everything now..........ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS GET ON A STUPID GAME SHOW_ MAKE AN A** OF YOURSELF AND YOU CAN GET PAID!!!!! Deal or no deal??? ...........Just a thought.......... Peace........
