The Bible forbids it. What kind of "whipped" man would be willing to go through such a thing anyway?

The Bible forbids mutilating your body, your temple. The Bible also forbids preventing the transmission of life. That's what vasectomy falls under.

Absolutely not. A man should be able to do what he wants with his own body. More often it is the man who wants the vasectomy, not the woman. A vasectomy is not castration so I don't see why anyone would consider it a loss of manhood or refer to the man as "whipped".
The Bible says slavery is ok (Exodus 21:7, Lev. 25:44) and it also says anyone who works on the Sabbath should be put to death (Exodus 35:2). I would like to see you fight for these as well. The Bible makes no mention of a vasectomy being prohibited. Interpretations are a different story.
The US government will not bend for Christians every time a different interpretation of biblical scripture crops up. The doctrine of separation of church and state prohibits this.

I'm no bible scholar, but I doubt if vasectomies had been invented during the time the bible was written. There is a lingering attitude in some cultures about men undergoing this sort of operation. In Central America, a lot of people even object to a dog being neutered. Spaying is okay, but not neutering. Better to let kids and animals be starved or neglected, I guess.

In the first place, you are mixing religious morality with civil legality. The thing about abortion is that a life in being is already in place and being cut short. That is where man's laws step in and debate whether the unborn child has civil and/or criminal rights. Vasectomies are not effecting any existing lives. While you are correct to assume that vasectomies are probably contrary to God's intentions, masturbation and coitus interruptus both being spoken against, and dishonoring the body as the temple of our spirits, etc., that does not mean that we as a society can just outlaw the practice. You can argue that all laws are based upon religious moral principles, stealing, killing, lying, coveting, etc., but there has to be an actual, measureable harm done in order to pass laws against an action. The purpose of laws is to try to maintain order in society and to try to make things right that have gone wrong. In vasectomies, it will be very difficult to prove the damages done by the action. How do you know how many children the man prevented by having the vasectomy? Who did he hurt by preventing the conception? Is his wife going to complain that she was robbed of children? How will she prove the damages done to her by this loss? All of it is is speculative. We cannot place a dollar value on theories and guesses. You cannot place a criminal sentence on an act that has no provable victim. The woman cannot prove that she was victimized by the vasectomy. Maybe he has other children and they want to sue for the loss of future siblings. They can't prove that either.
So, although I sympathize with your position, there is a definite difference between abortion and vasectomy. The equivalent would be for the woman to have her tubes tied. Again, there can be no proof of any damage being done to any other lives in being.
No damage, no crime. No harm, no foul. No crime, no time, no dime.

It's not whipped it's responsible. Three healthy sons was plenty and worry free sex with the Mrs. is worth a 15 minute procedure.

Oh, please. There's no "whipping" to it. It's called a man deciding to be responsible for the birth control. And I don't care what your Bible forbids or allows -it's fiction.
