Is it normal to be feeling such "advanced" symptoms? I feel pelvic pressure, lower backache and have had a few contractions. I am not worried about the contractions b/c they go away with rest and hydration.

I know what you mean. I am having the same issues and i am 5 months along with my third child. I think it is because after multiple children your body is more sensitive and the muscles and ligaments being stretched several times are not as strong. I am sure, at least with me, being a little older does not help. Sometimes the pelvic pressure and back pain is so intense I think the child is going to come right out. All is well though, baby is growing good and doc said I am progressing real well. So far I have no health problems and all my vitals and blood work is perfect. I just wonder how I will feel in a few more months. If I feel like I am 8 months along now, I guess I will feel like I have carried this child for 2 years when I am 8 months:))))) Good Luck and Congratulations.

If it's not twins, then it might be because the placenta is packed up behind the baby, pushing the baby up against the front wall of your belly. I'm only 20 weeks and you can see my 11oz baby kicking from the outside - not to mention I've started getting Braxton Hicks contractions from all the excitememt.
Doc says it's fine, but perhaps you should check with yours.

I am in my second pregnancy and around 16 weeks I started to feel a lot of what you are feeling (still am at 24 weeks) my OB told my since this is not my first pregnancy things get noticed a lot early. As well as the fact that my pregnancies are close together. (I concieved when my son was 8 months old)

Well, I went through the same thing...3rd preg. and was feeling like I was in my final trimester. My issue was my baby was large and the baby was laying in a transverse position. This may be the case for you. Its must be a boy because only boys will cause this agony..lol...just kidding. But whenever you see you doctor next, let he or she know whats going on. But you know what to do if pain worsens.

im 26 weeks along with my 3 child and i know how you feel.it seems like the problems start earlier than with the other pregnancies.i also stared showing earlier than before and its not cause of weight gain.it also feels like the once sweet little kicks i felt with my other 2 are now full on assaults on my uterus.

Are you sure you're not having twins? If not, every baby is different and you will carry this one differently to your other two - maybe baby is just lying funny or there's more fluid or something. Or it could just be coz you're older. If you're worried ask your midwife.

If they go away with rest and rehydration maybe you get them because you arent resting enough or drinking enough liquids. Maybe you feel that way cause you are chasing two kids around this time making it harder.

It's normal.... third pregnancy.... everything is "looser", "lower", and "weaker". However, could be sign of twins as well. Get plenty of rest and tell your OB if it gets worse.
