I asked because I have ran into so many people that make that assumption. I find it offensive.

ten bucks says most of the people who said that were in fact democrats.
"because the democrats have done so much for you and your cause, you only owe it to them to keep them in power"

You should be offended. People look at the black leadership and assume that all blacks toe the line. I think the republican candidate for my state, Micheal Steele, is a fine example of the kind of leadership the black community needs.

Same reason women are considered bad drivers and men are pigs. People just accept some thought and perpetuate it because they're ignorant and won't think things through.

I think that's because the democrats seem to be the ones that are more sensitive to the pulse of the African American community...
or some would say they are the only major party that's sensitive at all to the African American community...
but that doesn't mean that anyone is automatically one or the other...
why do Republicans say all Muslims are terrorists?
