I like books with great well developed charecters I can relate to. Currentley I am reading Slaughter House Five
It is a 1969 novel by best-selling author Kurt Vonnegut. One of his most popular works and widely regarded as a classic, it combines science fiction elements with an analysis of the human condition from an uncommon perspective, using time travel as a plot device and the bombing of Dresden in World War II, the aftermath of which Vonnegut witnessed, as a starting point.
When the book was released, the bombing of Dresden was not widely known and was rarely discussed by veterans and historians. The book led to an increased awareness of the bombings and a reevaluation of the justifications given for aerial bombing of cities by the Allies during the war.
Here are some other favorites:
1. The Wold According to Garp by John Irving
2. Fire Starter by Stephen King
3. Mona Lisa Overdrive by William Gibson
4.The Stand by Stephen King
5. Jurassic Park by Michael Cricton
6. The Language of God by Francis S. Collins
7. Moby Dick by Herman Melville
8. Enders Game by Orson Scott Card
9. Blue Beard by Kurt Vonnegut
10. Sideways by Rex Pickett

I actually read books on a regular basis -- that is to say, for at least an hour every day.
My favorites are "Inkheart" by Cornelia Funke, the Westmark trilogy by Lloyd Alexander, everything by Fyodor Dostoyevsky, "Tristan" by Gottfried Von Strassburg, "The House of Leaves" by Mark Z. Danielewski and "Ficciones" by Jorge Luis Borges. I like lots of other books, too.
What prompts the question?

I just finished reading "State of Emergency: The Third World Invasion and Conquest of America" by Patrick J. Buchanan
In this important book, Pat Buchanan reveals that, slowly but surely, the great American Southwest is being reconquered by Mexico.
This book was an excellent read!

I love to read, It is an opportunity to experience times and events that otherwise you may never have even thought about. Reading to your children helps to expand there imagination, and in my opinion it can do the same for adults. I read on a daily basis between work, and my classes.
I don't have a favorite book, but my favorite author is V.C. Andrews. She has many books and I would recommend you read at least one series.
The dollanger family series; The casteel family series; The cutler family series; The landry family series; The Logan family series; The orphans miniseries; The wildflowers ministeries; and many more.
My favorite series is the dollanger family series!

I actually read books. And my favorite Author is Robert Jordan. He writes "The Wheel of Time" series. Since it is a series of books I can't pick a favorite. Although Stephen King is my second favorite and I would have to say that "The Tommyknockers" would be my favorite book by him.

I love all kinds of books from people all over the world.
A good one I just read is a book of short stories called "Mugged by a Moose". It is an anthology of stories by different authors who experienced all kinds of exciting wilderness adventures.

'The Legacy' by Nevil Shute...also titled for American readers as 'A Town Like Alice'. A story about a young woman, and the far reaching consequences of a legacy she received. I highly recommend anything written by this author.
