I still drank two cups a day in the morning because without it, I got a headache and never fully woke up to take care of the kids and get myself to work. My doctor gave me the okay for this in moderation.
Check out the article below it was really interesting but too long for the answer part.

I am a 37 year old nurse, with a 10 year old and a newborn girl. Yes, 1 or 2 cups of coffee per day is fine while you are pregnant. The headache is actually a caffeine withdraw along with constipation (which comes naturally with pregnancy most of the time anyways) so you do not need more. :-) Your body and your baby are used to the caffeine anyways. Just remember when your baby is born he/she may be a little fussy for the first few days as the baby will go thru the caffeine with drawl naturally unless you are planning on breast feeding, then the withdrawl will come for the baby at a later date when you quit breastfeeding. If you are really concerned ask your doctor.

Your fine don't even worry about, you can have up to three cups of coffee a day and it will not have an affect on the baby. If people want to be sticklers for this type of stuff then they can go ahead and cut out ALL meat and any uncooked products while they're at it, because this other stuff is more likely to cause a miscarriage then coffee and caffeine.
The affects of caffeine could make your baby a little more hyper but that is about it

It's true you can drink up to 6 cups a day but that equals 3 American mug sizes that we are used to drinking. I read that same study and the link between caffeine and miscarriages has not been followed up too well. Just remember to stay hydrated because not enough water can actually lead to worse headaches and up your calcium intake to prevent Osteoporosis. My husband is a physician if that makes me seem any smarter # : ) And I am on my 3rd pregnancy and have had 2 large cups of coffee today.

You should really limit your caffeine intake. You can go to some coffee shops and ask for decaf. Some coffee shops can make all of their coffee decaf if you ask them. I used to be a coffee addict, but I haven't drank anything with caffeine since I've became pregnant (at least not intentionally). I've heard that you can limit yourself to 2 caffeinated drinks per day. I wouldn't, but that's just me. Just remember, whatever you put into your body, your baby does too. Better safe than sorry, right???

When I was pregnant I was having withdrawals because I couldn't consume 5-8 cups a day, but my doctor told me
to dring ONE cup of coffee not too strong, try hot chocolate
for alternatives. I would only take about three days to kick off the habit.

my doctor told me that I could drink one to two cups of r4egular coffee a day...but if you are drinking more then that then you should slowly cut down otherwise the baby will be addicted to the caffeine too and when you give birth the baby will be really crabby because its not getting it. Your best bet is to talk to your doctor about your caffeine intake.....

You can drink coffee while pregnant but I suggest you start cutting down the amount you drink because if it gives you a head ache when you dont have it then maybe you drink too much.

It is an addiction , so you can't go off of it cold turkey.Cut out a half a cup a day until you feel you can leave it.A cup a day would be all right.
