I intend to bring a lawsuit against an individual on this site. I am sure that he/she has had several accounts on here and they come in and bash and spew hate at the Gay and Lesbian community. We can ban together and have the account ip addresses checked and determine the exact computer that the threats come from and then file against them, their company and if they are a minor their parents. IP address are unique identifiers assigned to each computer and embedded in to all computer transactions. (NOTE; this is the way the BTK killer was recently caught by the police.)
My suit is for slander and liable as the person LIED and said I gave AIDS to TRACER.
If you recall the screen names of anyone that has made either a threat against you or a lie which slanders your reputation please indicate them to me in your answer or by sending me an e-mail through this site.
The lawsuit is NOT against Yahoo Answers, it will be against the individuals creating this unsavory environment. If you have useable complaints the lawsuit will be filed as a group effort and any and all monies will be shared among the people helping me.
So please right now begin sending me those screen names of everyone who has threatened you or harassed you or lied about your medical history. If we find it is more than one person that is just more people we can take down.
My meeting with my lawyer is Thursday and that is when we will work to get the subpoena to have Yahoo release the ip addresses of these individuals.
They messed with the wrong person this time.

NOTE: Things to consider; when we have been accused of molestation, rape, drug use, having or spreading AIDS, anything that defiles your reputation. If you can go back through your questions and answers cut and paste and keep a copy of the document for yourself and forward one to me.
Someone simply stating a negative opinion will not work.

Due to the users acceptance of Yahoo Terms of Service, the person can be sued in the community where they live in regards to "comply with all local rules regarding online conduct". If the community where they live has libel and/or slander laws, the lawsuit would be in their local court system. The Internet Service provider can be sued (although they likely have a non-liability clause when the user signed up for service), the owner of the computer can be sued if the owner is different from the user, and if the user is a minor the parent/guardian can be sued.

When you consult with your attorney, you might realize what a collossal waste of time and possibly legal fees this is. First of all, it is not slander, it is libel. Slander is spoken, libel is printed. Secondly, you have to PROVE MALICE. Since the poster here can easily claim he was just having fun, good luck proving malice. Thirdly, please note the following:
A libel plaintiff must generally establish that the alleged libel refers to him or her SPECIFICALLY, that it was published to others, and that some injury (as to reputation) occurred that gives him or her a right to recover damages. Since the alleged libel was against a yahoo nickname and not an actual known individual, you can neither prove that it referred to you specifically, nor can you claim that any actual person had their reputation injured. Since you can easily change your yahoo name whenever you please, no actual harm to your reputation was suffered.
Personally, I think people like that are lame, annoying and should be biatch-slapped, but lets remember please that they are merely trolls. If you actually waste any time on trying to get this guy, he'll win and you'll look foolish for spending so much energy on a losing proposition.

Yes you definitely have grounds to sue although not sure about a libel suit like the other guy said. These people definitely violated some agreement or law whether it be Yahoo!'s, the local govt. etc. Best thing to do is take the case to a lawyer and see what he thinks. These people need to be dealt with for their mean-spirited behavior. I didn't have anything said against me personally (just in general) but I will definitely be a witness should you need one.

Hey, you might want to speak with someone in international law...when their names come back after being reported, the Yahoo division that answers the report comes from CA(Canada Yahoo Answers)...
Funniest thing is, from a Basher's response it knows nothing about Canadian Law Either....
"Passage of the Civil Marriage Act made same-sex marriage legal in the provinces of Alberta and Prince Edward Island and the territories of Nunavut and the Northwest Territories effective July 20, 2005."

Hey, good luck with that. I'm all fro supporting the gay community in any way I can, but, unfortunately, I also understand a little something called freedom of speech. I hate it sometimes, people can be so disgusting, but we do live in America and a lot of people don't know when to shut up.

I hope it all works out for you. I answered questions the other night, and I think the individual that posted the questions was the one you are referring to. Anyway, I was upset with Yahoo because I lost points over it. Once I did get an email from someone from Sydney, he was upset with me. I thought it was an under age girl and told him, who I thought was a she to get her parents permission to do something. I have not seen the person who you are referring to on here either last night or tonight.

here here! I'm right there with you, pal! it's not just a matter of being insulting and hateful....a lot of them continuously advocate violence and even murder!
like the evil ***********/kkkhomobasher/kkkpussylover among several other aliases....and "redmitt63" who initially was cloning me until being suspended and having to change "it's" name.
if these people are half as vicious in real life as they are online, they should be spending their lives in prison!

add this name to the list.... seminole.angel@yahoo.com. she is being sued by me for an attack on me physically about 3 wks ago. along with 2 of her roomies.... j.r. sanders of gaston, sc; cathy neumann of gaston, sc; bobbie knectel of gaston, sc.
these 3 people, one of whom i called a friend since childhood, attacked and severely beat me about 3 weeks ago. i was asked by one of the attackers to come by her house to "check on the contracts for the repairs to my house". it turns out it was all a scam to lure me into the trap where i was attacked with pepperspray, then beaten across the head, neck, shoulders, etc. with a 2 x 2 board. it left me with 3 broken ribs, a broken bone in my neck, 3 broken fingers and severely bruised shoulder blade along with numerous deep bruises across my back and shoulders. the attackers are in jail now without bond. the male attacker is facing over 10 felony counts including lynching (in south carolina this is a major felony that carries 25 to life), the girls are also facing a lynching charge among the 5 felony counts on them. they go to trial in jan 2007. i am hoping that all 3 get long prison terms, and if they plead guilty or are found guilty my civil suits against them are proved due the the standards of proof being lower in a civil suit vs. criminal charges (remember OJ Simpson's civil lawsuit loss after his criminal "win")
