the hands on the clocks are 10:10 because it is the "happy time" which means that it makes people feel positive. it also resembles a smile. a bad time to put on advertisements would be 4:40 or 8:20 becasue both hands would be downward, looking like a frown.

Analog watches are set @ 10:10 to "frame" the manufactures name while keeping symmetry. I prefer 4:20 myself.
