I hope she was give this by the Doctor, and buying it at a registered pharmacy.

In that case it is OK.

If not she should stop and go see a gynaecologist, take the pills with her so doctor can see what they are they do come in many potency for different applications.

Doctor can, must, do a hormone test, most birth control pills are female hormones(Oestrogen) but must not be taken without doctor's supervision. Some com with both Oestrogen and progesterone.

Testosterone is a male hormone but it is present in a female in a form of progesterone.

Street purchased drugs may not be potent enough or may be just sugar pills.

Show her this "A", self medication is OK in few cases but this can be very dangerous, she can do real damage to her feminine body functions.

Talk to your doctor about getting off of the prescription. No one can force you to take the pills, and if you don't want to take them, the doctor will stop prescribing them. As some one with PCOS, who only took birth control for a short time, I can tell you that it's not that big of a difference. The only thing the birth control does is lower testosterone, and stabilize your estrogen. This evens out your periods and can help with male pattern hair growth. But that is ALL the birth control does for you. It doesn't lower the risk for diabetes or any of that other stuff.

She needs to go to an endocronologist or even a gynocologist & do blood tests like, Free Testosterone, DHEAS, Thyroid, estrogen & so on. A well qualified endocr. or gyno will know. BCP usually helps until you are on it but you got to find the root cause & treat that. Good Luck. High testosterone level can cause a lot of potential health as women get older

As far as i know, they're to be taken once a day.Tell her to go to a gynaecologist or something. Good birth control pills are cool, though some might lead to problems like abnormal increase in weight, infertility n all.talking to a professional will be best!
