Neither. I don't feel the need to waste my time and energy on getting mad or getting even. Getting mad only proves to someone that they have the power to get under your skin. And, getting even only shows immaturity. I try to find the good in everyone, and if I can't, I'll pray for them.

That is one of my favourite quotes "Don't get mad - get even" - Hannibal Hayes, Alias Smith and Jones. The other is "Quid pro Quo"; by Hannibal Lecter. I have just used that in an email to the Yahoo answers Team. I got a moan about me using my Home page as my source.....

If you want to get even don't get mad. If you want to make someone really wish they hadn't done you wrong, don't give them the satisfaction of a reaction. Extremely irritating when it happens to you! Similar to having an argument with someone who just says, "Yes, Dear." Aaaaarrrggghhhhhhh!!!!

True(ish) story. Friend finds wife 'playing away'. Goes to 'lady of the night' to fulfill ALL his repressed desires AND knowingly catches a 'personal' disease. Makes love to wife forgetting to mention 'personal' problem for which he then gets treatment. She continues to play away and passes on husband's little 'gift'. Result: wife's boyfriend gets 'the gift' and has to explain where and why to wife (very ugly scene!), friend's wife has to admit affair as result of medical check-up following distressing symptoms for which she blames boyfriend, husband gets house, car, all he is entitled to AND manages to have one night of fulfilled desires. Not mad, but VERY even. ps it wasn't me honest your Honour!

Neither, anger hasn't done anything for me and If you don't let yourself get offended easily you don't need to get even. My policy is be slow to anger and quick to listen
