Don't even think about it.
Most people on here know more about computers than the people at Comet.
Go to your local friendly small computer shop near where you live(ask others to recommend one).
Then ask them to build you one for a price.
They will be there to help if there is a problem in the future....Comet are useless at this kind of customer care.

Actually PC WORLD is a part of the Comet franchise. My computer came from PC WORLD. It is an E-system with Celeron D. Dual-layer DVD writer (it writes onto DVD and CD), It comes with a flat-screen monitor and I really like it. It is at a good price too, £349.00. Mine was bought as a birthday present and I love it, especially the flat screen. I get less headaches now.

You don't say which computer or price. If you mean value and service then I would say that they are miles better than currys/pc world. Bought my laptop from comet earlier this year and was happy with service and was the best value on the high street.

Are they any good is a question which doesn't relate to anything.
It's the spec of the PC you want to know about.
However, seeing as it's Comet - and they're under the DSG corporate umbrella - who also own PC World, let me tell you that...
EMACHINES PCs BOUGHT FROM ANYWHERE ARE **ITE!

Good luck :D

I would suggest Staples Superstore, as their customer service is excellent, and they do a 14 day approval for you to try it out, then if you don't like it you can take it back and get your money back or exchange it, just keep the receipt and all the packaging, that's their policy

Get a Dell - it will last longer, and keep its value better. Also the drivers and manuals will be available for download from the Dell website for years - so if you have to reinstall Windows, it's easier.

DC :)

Not so good a follow up service, go to Currys or PC World, (same company).

I bought my laptop (the only computer I use so it is in use continually) from them 3 years ago and I have had no bother at all.
