It is entirely too early to tell. It is not that no one has risen to the top. It is that we still have 2 years and many of the lawmakers are concentrating on their current obligations. Our democratic process allows for those interested to show such interest and make intent to run a bit closer to the election. All others who intend to run now are probably not concentrated on current obligations. There certainly are many prospects. Let's just see who will 'rise to the top' with current politics. That will let us know a little bit more about the candidates in 2008.

U.S. Senator Barack Obama if he would run. And to the person who said most females would vote for Hilliary just because she is female, you are wrong. I don`t consider her female. As for Condoleezza Rice, she would also be one I would vote for. The comment left by an answerer is incorrect. Condi was there at the church in Birmingham bombing is not correct. She was friends with Denise McNair, one of the bombing victims.

Anyone who are for the issues I think are important. Whether it be Democrat, Republican, or Independent. It doesn't matter so much who we vote for the electoral college is going to put in who they want no matter what the majority of the votes for a candidate may say.

John McCain/ Rudy Guiliani in 2008 is my ideal ticket, very moderate, no where near as conservative as Bush though they will have to campaign to the right to get the nomination.
