According to Ovulation calculators I was predicted to ovulate on 26th October (8 days ago) and my period is due next Thurday (9th Nov). I do however have very sore tender breasts at the moment and seem to be getting quite a lot of discharge. Is it possible to ovulate this close to a period and the ovulation calculator has mis-predicted?

those ovulation calendars don't always help... you need to chart your BBT's too. That's more of an accurate way... also try an ovulation prediction kit.. buy them at walgreens, cvs, or even the grocery store. Those are very accurate. Best Wishes

With the hormones involved in ovulation tender breasts can be an issue. It sounds like you are ovulating now with the increased cervical mucous and tender breasts. All kinds of factors can hinder clockwork ovulation like stress and illness.
