Bearing in mind what is going on in the world, the results of a poll today (I personally think they're all mad, bad and dangerous to know), does anyone think those who decide to become their country's political leaders should be required to undergo diversity and equality training like everyone else does when they start a new job? Do you think it would have an bearing on world events if they did?

Veritas obviously works for an organisation where that hasn't been an issue - good for you. Maybe I should have been clearer. I call a spade a spade and not a digging implement - what I am trying to find out is this: if governments can legislate that this is compulsory for workers(shouldn't need to be - we all live on the planet and should therefore all be able to tolerate each other) should they be subject to the same rules as the rest of us?

Nobody should undergo diversity training. It smacks of a totalitarian regime and is down right patronising. How dare people think that others need indoctrinating. FREE SPEECH. I don't think you should even post questions like this. Nobody would EVER get me on a diversity course. I don't need patronising by left wing lecturers.

No. There's already too much political correctness in society.
We don't let people be human. We don't let people speak their minds. Political correctness and diversity training is nothing more than squelching freedom of speech.
Everyone gets offended if their group is not spoken of properly. They need to get over it and recognize that we are all human and we don't have to kiss everyone butt just so they don't sue.
And the real reason people expect political correctness is because that way the truth can't be spoken.

I believe in leading from the front. As a person who as been personally involved with a person 'of power' I can say most of them get some kind of diverse training.. believe it or not... they do..

Would it do any good. Given the attendance record of most of our members of congress, I'm guessing 60% would never show up in the first place.

sure. you predict unfastened questioning human beings to agree and disagree with what you think of is right - incorrect, stable - evil. how are you able to anticipate a soldier to kill the enemy, whilst "you" would particularly he turn the different cheek and get killed himself?
