I brought my daughter a £15 voucher from sainsbury that gave her that amount of music to download to her computor. Not only was it safe downloads there was thousands to pick from music for all ages and you can download a whole album for £7 so some pay say vouchers are not great but if it is something they can use straight away like this type of voucher I think it is ok. She could also download video etc and thought it was great as all she needed to do was go to her computor. You can get them for £25 as well.
The gadget shop is a brilliant place to go to for quirky gifts for both sexes and ages.

Find a cute Christmas ornament that can be personalized with their name or the year. www.orientaltrading.com has a variety of these and not too expensive ($11.95 or 14.95 a dozen).

how about whatever amount you can afford ( as an example
$10.00 ) and get this amount in quarters or fifty cent pieces. wrap them in streamers and then perhaps a little candy or trinket in between the coins. simple easy and fun.

smellies are always well appreciated by girls- boots usually do a 3 for 2 offer and if you bought packs of smellies you could always split them down
as for the guys- bottles of wine, packs of booze, you can often get little bits for men in woolies, i got my hubby a lap tray with the simpsons on it for scoffing in front of the tv for a few quid last year.
