Because we all need a bit of hope, and sometimes other people can provide us with aspirations.
You've just got to know that you could do better than the person you are jealous towards.
If you can't sing, can't play a note on the piano or guitar, can't dance, wouldn't be a good TV presenter, know nothing about history, can't do maths, have no idea how to spell, never do any research about a topic, don't know a thing about astronomy, don't read books, don't listen to music, never visit an art gallery, critisise everything around you, drink too much, sleep around too much, eat junk food, know nothing about different religions, don't go to the gym occasionally, have never heard of Plato, think Freud was a nutter and Goebells had the right idea, Ikea is hell, Posh Spice is a role model, what was music like before 'Busted', don't want become a pilot, don't surf, don't bungee jump, don't listen to Baz Lurhmann's 'Sunscreem', and don't stop buying 'celebrity magazines'. They make you feel insignificant, so what is there to be jealous about?
Is it money?
Most 'celebrities' are ridiculed, but if you've got talent, Flaunt it.
Either you get out and do it for yourself, or you sit at home and seethe.

It's human nature to be jealous - no matter how nice a person you are you will always have that spark of jealousy or envy when some really good fortune hits somebody else.
Does it make you feel jealous to hear that I won £356,000 on the National Lottery last week? Yes, it did! But I didn't, so now you have to go and have a drink to make that nasty feeling go away!!

It is human nature. If EVE had not have eaten that dang apple!!! Afet that, GOD gave us free will and then it hit the fan. Now everybody wants what everybody else has. Even if everybody was famous and rich, thier problems wouldnt go away. Why do you think so many stars are so into drugs, divorse, and tooooo skinny. They got problems too. To the outside world though, it seems they are always happY!!!

Because everyone wants the best for themselves. If the person who is jealous really cared about you they would be happy for your good fortune, but most of the time other people are just looking out for themselves.

It's human nature I'm afraid. People do genuinely want the best for other people but there is always a it of you that will be envious.

I don't get jealous, only slightly miffed when people who win the lotto already have loads of dosh, or don't intend to change anything about their life.
