they may need bleeding, the air needs to be let out, you have to release the 'peg' at the top

First of all check that the pump is working by holding one end of a screwdriver to the pump and the other end to your ear. If you can hear the pump working, then you have an airlock in the pipework. To correct this. turn off the valves at both ends of the rads that are not working. Then place a shallow dish under one of the valves and undo a valve carefully and let the water trickle out of the radiator. as you do this, open the air vent to let the water run freely. Once you have drained the rad, then get a bucket and point the rad valve into the bucket, and open the rad valve so that tha rad water runs into the bucket. This has to be done on the coolest pipes. As the water runs out you will hear it splutter. This is air coming out with the water, Do this until the water is running without a splutter, Then reconnect the valve to the rad,. close the air vent and open both valves. then vent the air from the rad.

if you have thermostatic radiator valves and have not used the system alll summer the valves can become stuck shut.to solve this take the twisty bit with the numbers off the valve(they are held on in different ways, have a look at it and it should be obvious) .once you have taken this bit off you will see a litle pin sticking out of the top of the valve.Lightly tap it with a hammer and add a drop of oil or wd40.you will see the pin rise a bit if it has worked.this sygnifies that the valve has lifted and opened..also check your pump for air by unscrewing the plug in the top until water comes out...happy trail

if they were off all summer the valves may have jammed, especially if they have thermostatic valves, open the inlet fully and tap the inlet pipe union between the copper pipe and the rad lightly with something like a panel pin hammer to unjam. or remove the thermostatic valve knob and lift the pin below (gently coz it can pull out and leak) with a pliers. Combination of lift the pin (about 3mm) and tapping sometimes needed. Failing that, i think it's time to call a heating plumber. Hope this helps.

Ok so you bled pipes and that dont work
try this
switch off all rads except one working radiator
wait till it gets hot then switch on one that isn't working so you have one working and one not working switched on
give it an hour or so and see if it heats up
do this with all non working radiators (one working one nonworking)
re bleed radiators
This works if you have an air blockage in the pipes themselves

look to your pump , it may need replacing
OR
your system requires re -bleeding" !!
to get rid of air locks which stop the flow of hot water .
( NOT A BIG JOB)
either get a plumber in to do this
or if you know what you are doing ,
undo the nut ( a couple of turns)
at the top end ,of one of the cold radiators
the air will hiss out ,
( be prepared for a bit of water spill)
When the water ,starts to flow smoothly
do nut up securely ,
This may be all you need to do .
BUT you may have to bleed ,some of th other radiators
as well
to completely cure the problem
be warm and cosy in all your rooms !!!!

Ive had the same problem as you,if like you said you bled them, turn off all the other radiators and just and just leave on 1 at a time that isnt working, and that should solve your problem,it always as for me anyway.if it gets hot do the same with the other ones that arent heating up

i know you have probably done this but have a look at each end of the radiator, there is a tap at each end, an inlet pipe and an outlet pipe so the hot water can go from one radiator to the next, both these taps MUST be open for it to work.
