The general lee was destroyed in almost every episode after making those extreme jumps. They had to have a new one each episode. Which original are you talking about?
The guy who played cooter has a replicia at Cooter's place in TN.

But in an interview with the stunt coordinator on CMT, they talked about how they basically destroyed a general lee in almost each episode in the beginning of the show. Towards the end of the show they tried using model replicas to cut down on costs, but they said that was never successful in showing the action.

In 2005 John Schneider owned 5 of the original General Lees (the ones used for close ups and still scenes), at the Annual Reunion in Hazard, John said he was sending them to auction.
Many others were used and used up. Averaged 2 per episode according to Schneider. At least 4 others were purchased from original tv stock. I know of 2 others beside 1 at Cooter's Museum.

I'd have to agree with the above lister. What does the General Lee have to do with Acura? I'm pretty sure Acura wasn't even on the drawing board at Honda when the General Lee was being filmed ...

I am not sure who owns the orignal General Lee but Iam pretty sure it's a Dodge Charger, not an Acura. I hope this was just a mistake in posting on your part and that you really don't think that car has anything to do with Acura.

theres no "original" general lee..its destroyed in almost every episode if you watch them. they make a new one everytime.
whats this have to do with acura?

ACTUALLY THERE WERE USING DIFFERENT ONES ON DIFFERENT SHOWS EVERY TIME THEY CRASHED ON A JUMPING RAMP SCENE,I SEEN IT ON THE OVERHAULING SHOW. THERE ARE SO MANY OUT THERE
