I use Zone Alarm, in both of my computers. When you first install Zone Alarm Firewall, the program will ask you for permission to allow downloads for a perticular software or to open IE, etc. etc. You will click yes an also click remember. Ofcourse that is if you want the program to open or receive the downloads. Otherwise you click deny.

Zone Alarm is designed to block on it own rogue websites or any packets of traffic that comes from a rogue port or ports used to transmit trojans an other virus or spyware.

If you open ZA from your tray and open the "Control Panel, you will see all the traffice that has been blocked from rogue ports.
