I wear short skirts and very high heels to work as an executive. I do this for myself as a power tool. It gives me confidence and power when I don't always feel up to the task. I am taken seriously and have been told that I am intimidating because of the image that I project. I am not a domineering person and am actually a cream puff inside, so that's MY reason. I also find that men bend over backward to be nice to me, bringing coffee, opening doors, carrying packages, etc...,

I don't know. I am a 23 year old good looking woman with a flat belly after having two children and very slim, and I prefer to dress islamically. I don't follow the religion in particular much anymore, but the clothing is comfortable and modest. It's just my preference.

And why wouldn't you take women seriously, regardless of how she dresses? Are you the type of man who percieves a "serious woman" to be the type that covers herself from head to foot? Should she wear a sheet to cover all of her? Who in their right mind will take a "subservient woman" seriously.
A woman takes herself seriously, dresses to enhance her beauty and doesn't care what "narrow minded people" think of her. She is taken seriously by her own accord, not by what you think of her.
I, myself, am a very conservative woman, and prefers a somewhat professional look, but i do not think myself better than women who likes to highlight her good points. :-)

Even in the presence of a beautiful woman dressed in revealing clothing, It is a man's character that is always in question, Ethical & Moral fiber take courage to adhere to. The problem is that real men are few and far between, many little immature boys masquerading as men and poor excuses's for human beings!

Its a tool that women use just like a wrench , pliers or a hammer .
it give them power to both intimidate if they give an alpha vibe in conjunction with it or the power for men to underestimate them if they present a more passive facade.
.
Sexual chemistry not the sex act or any sex act has a power or currency all its own . Sexual chemstry does not mean sex altho it can mean that , that is why it is so powerful and work magic on males.

Let's examine this from two angles and imagine that women are pressed with the challenge of conforming to both:
Angle one: If you had a massive bulge in your crotch -- say, the size of a pair of tube socks -- I can't help but think that I'd take you ultra-seriously.
Angle two: I've never seen a man wear a v-cut against bare skin with a short shorts number to the office.

What you wear does not affect your brain, unless I'm missing something....just because a woman wants to look sexy, and appealing it hardly means she has lost her sense....i like tight clothes, and trust me i am taken seriously, and i don't suffer fools gladly either.

The same reason some men drink huge quantities, get in fights over people looking at them funny, give each other wedgies, condescend women and expect to be taken seriously.

Because I know men aren't very good at multi-tasking, I generally don't expect to be taken seriously (by men) when I'm dressed skimpily. I mean, who can think about the human condition when they're looking at cleavage??
