Never judge a book by it's cover. I would however think the person ignorant, (which shows a lack of education), depending on the question and the manner in which it was asked.
Unfortunately, I have found that the most ignorant questions are asked by my fellow Americans.
My best example would be when I took a tour of Windsor Castle:
We were in one of the gardens when a landing jet noisily flew overhead. Before the guide could continue explaining the story, history, legends, etc... a woman, obviously American, (Midwestern accent), loudly asked why the Castle was built so close to the airport? Most chuckled, but my companions and I stared at her in horror!

Excellent question! Since using this board I have been rather shocked at the standard of responses /questions posted here. Believe me the Brit posters are not perfect by any stretch of the imagination. The American postings are poor, tempting me to believe that mainly adolescents use this board. The religious ravers I can accept, education, and worldliness are generally missing from these types. Again, I imagine them to be, characters from the film `Deliverance`, or those snake - shaking idiots. With America`s Spanish speakers, we must be fair - they know more of English than we do of Spanish, and at least they make an effort. If the rest are `Middle Americans`, then boy , are you dumb!

No, I assume that they are simply uneducated or ignorant, or possibly just acting stupid for others or their own entertainment. All countries and races have their fair share of ignorant and poor education...Not good to assume things about others.

Not in the slightest. I know plenty of Americans who are educated and articulate. There are many ignorant and uneducated people in the world- I would imagine each country has its own fair share.

I hate to think that Americans would act like a bunch of silly high school students needing attention or dirty old men getting threre kicks from these forums. Sad, isn't it?

No, not everyone is knowledgeable about everything and may not be educated in the subject they are asking a question about. That is probably the reason they are asking the question.

Not neccesarily, every race has their idiots - but America appears to be well represented in the idiot stakes on Yahoo Answers. Even the people running it seem to have employed a few idiots......

No, Americans ask intelligent questions. It is because we are super smart.
