Every fraction can be changed into deciml and vice-versa.For changing fraction into decimal, you have to divide it actually.Divide 5 by 12.but 5 is not divisible by 12 as 5 is smaller than 12.So put a zero after 5 ,making it 50 and put a decimal in the quotient.now you get 50 to be divided by 12.You know 12*4=48.So put 4 after the decimal in the quotient and 48 under the dividend 50,now there is a remainder of 2,put a zero again after 2,making it 20.12 goes only once in 20.So put 1 in the quotient and12 under 20.kkkThe remainder is 8.Put a zro again after 8,making it 80.......Go on doing like this upto 2 or 3 places fter the decimal in the quotientPlease note that 5/12=.416
