The laws of thermodynamics state clearly that change is inevitable until nothing can possibly change any more. We're a long way from the heat death of the universe, so change will be permanent until then.

That's an interesting question.

everything changes, whether we want it to or not. As we get older, we start looking back on on youth as "the good ole days" when people respected their elders, were honest and worked hard. It's difficult sometimes to come to grips with the fact that the world changes constantly and you have no control over it.

However, if you look at life in a positive light, you can learn to enjoy some of the changes that happen. Heck, the internet was brand spanking new when I was in high school and now look at it 11 years later. :o)

So, I have to agree with your statement that change is the only permanent thing. But, whether it's good or bad depends on the change.

I'm sorry, but I disagree with the common saying! Even change isn't permanent. Change, by it's very existence, is in a state of constant flux on it's own. There is no true permanence in life, existence, or it's surroundings. Maybe that's a good thing -- as it keeps all this from becoming a bore. Change is not only necessary, but also stimulating and entertaining! Don't you think?

I have always thought this is true, ever since I first heard of it many years ago. Think about it, what is there in this world which never changes, nothing, the world is always in a state of flux and so are we. Our bodies alone change with every second, water wears away stone, you may not see it happening but it does.

I like your question,

Change is not always bad
I take the meaning, that nothing in your life is inevitable, not your boy/girlfriend, or even families, sh*t always can happen, they leave you, or pass from this life,
Exspecially material things, they are NEVER permanent,
But CHANGE is always something you can count on.
Weather you wsnt it or not, the world is ever changing

Life is change, how it differs from the rocks.

“I can't change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination.”

“I don't need a friend who changes when I change and who nods when I nod; my shadow does that much better.”

Not everything that is faced can be changed. But nothing can be changed until it is faced. ~ James Baldwin

“If you want things to stay as they are, things will have to change”

“Life is one of those precious fleeting gifts, and everything can change in a heartbeat.”

“Become a student of change. It is the only thing that will remain constant.” -Anthony J. D'Angelo

“I cannot say whether things will get better if we change; what I can say is they must change if they are to get better.”

“Nothing endures but change.”

i think it means that change is the only thing you cannot prevent and that you cannot control. it happens everyday to everyone. so it is the only permanent thing because it will always be there and it always has been no matter what we do.

Nothing is permanent - including change, because the concept of change itself is changing at a changing pace. (In fact, yet times change is bringing the old things in the new form - can we really call it a change).

oh boy!!...why does my boyfriend bother me all the time with this same exact bull? so then i guess you agree as well that things only get worse with time not better right? well whatever...just like relationships never last forever so why deni the inevitable right? oh wow whatever... that way of thinking may be somewhat true but so negative and if you think this way... of course things are this way and life will suck for you

I don't agree, I believe death is the only permanent thing. Any change can be temporary unless it's when we die.
