im looking to get a web cam, a good quality one, but not expensive under $100....brands: logitech, creative labs, labtechs????

Logitech is the best bet and most compatible with many video conference programs. You can get a good one used or refurbished on eBay. I would suggest going for the QuickCam Pro 3000 or 4000, nothing less.

Depends on the features you want. If your budget is "under $100" you can get a very nice webcam. Logitech is always a good choice, and has a wide variety of cams with different sets of features, all for under $100.
If you can afford it, you might consider wireless.
