He came up on one of the monitors in a similar Station to Desmonds' - could he be from that old galley on series 1 where the dinamite was? (sounds very Goonies to me).

Is this a Sawyerism? If so, he could be referring to Dr Marvin Candle from the Orientation vid who has a glass eye and a fake arm.
