Low income people are taxed but then they get all the income tax and contributions back at tax time.

Low income also get GST rebates, and if kids they get a higher child tax credit every month.

I think the Federal government should introduce a flat tax of 15 percent or even 20 percent. Whatever the number is. 15 percent of a low income is nothing to complain about. Maybe if all those people who worked for "cash" would start paying income tax, all Canadians could get a lower rate.

Lastly, why is it that single Canadians are taxed higher than married Canadians. We don't all chose to be single and should continue to be punished for it.

because they can.Low income people see themselves as victims and are usually the last to raise a hand in their own defense

to make them feel like they are actually a useful part of the country, otherwise they would feel like they were just sponging

because most countries take advantage of those citizens in which they can easily justify taking advantage of ---non-self
