news stories going to the extreme, can break a person and ruin lives. do they care?how far is to far?

I personally do not like Anna Nicole.. but I do beleive the news is tormenting her. Her son just died.. She just had a baby.. she is going through a lot and it looks like she has no support. I feel sorry for her and I definately think the news needs to lay off. They are so disrespectful!

I think running anything about a celebrity on a real news channel as though it were actual news is overkill. Yeah, it's entertaining and more than a little shocking in most cases but it is NOT news.
As for it ruining lives, I don't think it's quite that bad. Or rather, I don't think saying such a thing is fair. A lot of these people DO shed tears over such stories but they don't usually go nuts over them. Most celebrities choose to follow the path they're following and also choose to make stupid decisions. Beating them down isn't nice but it's life. They're making millions of dollars doing what they do and don't seem to want out in that most of them don't try to get out of the spotlight. It's stressful but it can't be too terribly shattering.
EDIT: Whoops, I forgot that the topic was about one particular celebrity/event. While I stand by what I first said, I DO think they're taking this a bit too far. A death is different than a break up or a wild party. Even though Anna Nicole is a wacko, I don't think it's very tasteful running such stories over and over again as though it were pure entertainment.

Anna Nicole is a deceptive woman. To marry an old man just to wait for him to die (he was 90) and then try and get his money. That is pretty sickening. She sounds very Dumb. Sorry, but she does. And she is using all this just for publicity. I don't trust her or like her.

Uh, well, you could always switch to another channel and watch something about Madonna or whoever else lives the strange lives of these strange people. People with so-called fame and money think that they create the rules or laws, and they are therefore not held accountable for anything they do.

IT'S ALL OF THE NEWS UNTIL SOMETHING ELSE HAPPENS. EXCEPT FOR THE ELECTION, NEWS MUST BE SLOW FOR ALL OF THE STORIES ON ANNA NICHOLE.
