for all the govt. fees(like at the court & stuff) & drivers licence fee
it ends up being like $150. It changes state buy state. But ya, ouch! I wish someone would told me that before I got married!!! I was figuring like $50 more dollers , after the marragiege licence fee (which was $43), but no! I end up spending like $200 just on paper work!!!

You just pay document fees at the court house i think, probably aren't much, and you dont pay anything for a new social security card. Oh and of course the cost of getting a new license and all the things that you have to change as well afterwards, dont forget that stuff.

If your not getting a name change because of marriage, an adult name change requires an attorney. So to begin with you have the attorney's fees and then the court fees, so you should probably check with an attorney.
