Sounds like your hamster has worms. No joke here, totally serious. You need to bring them and a sample of their poop to a vet so the vet can determine what type of worms they are to treat them the right way. Good luck.

Hi,
You need to take your hamster to the vet. Find out what kind of worms they are. Then see your doctor to make sure you haven't got them too. By the way humans can pass parasites to hamsters too. Hamsters can also catch our colds and flu. So every one needs to tale hand washing seriously. Hamsters with a cold can quickly get pneumonia and die within a few days.
No one should be alarmed about parasites. They should be treated seriously and quickly. All pets and humans should check for parasites on a regular basis. People can transmit parasites to other people by hanling food or just by shopping for groceries. That is why you should wash all vegetables thouroughly. Untreated parasitic infections lead to all kinds of health problems if left undealt with. Dogs and Cats are notorious for picking up parasites. Just running outside makes them perfect hosts.
By the way, if one family member, including pets has parasites then the whole family should be checked and treated at the same time. Or they just will be passed back and forth.

This is a very serious condition called coxsidiea, and it can be contagious. You should probably let it go outside. This condition can be very dangerous. You should definitly go buy a new hamster.
