I was in Australia in MARCH 1996 during the time of the Dunblane massacre in Scotland, in which 16 schoolchildren were shot by a madman. The Australian news coverage showed the queen saying "GUNS CAN BE BEAUTIFUL AS WELL AS DEADLY." When I returned to England a few weeks later, nobody I knew had ever heard this on the UK news. Can anyone remember this?

Hi Hugo - am scottish in scotland - this was not mentioned - but there was a big furore because the Queen didnt come to Dunblane but sent her son instead...

I agree with the two previous comments, but if you did see that, it would be a clip of the Queen talking about something entirely different as constitutionally she would not be allowed to comment on current events beyond issuing a message of condolence. The comments you allegedly saw had nothing to do with Dunblane.
