yes, go to your local planned parenthood (you can find out where the closest one to you is by going to their website). they cannot tell your parents you just have to keep it hidden. its sad that your parents do not allow you to have proper medical treatment, which by the way is considered neglect...you have every right to have medical assistance from any type of doctor you need. you can get birth control from your family doctor as well...they also are not allowed to tell your parents. so you could claim to have a soar throat or stomach bug get your mom to take you to the family doc...make sure she doesn't come in with you and tell your family doc what the problem is and what is going on...they should be able to help you...and they cannot tell your parents. it is sad that your mom would leave you to have irregular or uncomfortable periods simple because of the idea that you might have sex...(i had a friend in high school that bleed for a month but her mom would not allow her to take the pill because she said she would start having sex...that was just cruel and rude to assume such things about a person.) i wish you luck... planed parenthood is your best bet, they give free or cheap drugs to teens depending on needs.

edited to add: at planned parenthood they have something known as the hope program where you can get birth control with out an exam or a pap...although if you are having troulbe you should probably have an exam to rule out any problems. and to those that say grow up she just wants to have sex....at least she'd be being smart enough to use birth control....and as for those that dont get why her parents would kill her for taking it...some people do not belive in birth control period end of story not even for medical reasons...they think its wrong cause the church says its wrong...i'm sorry you have to deal with this on your own. hope you can find some help from some one.

You do NOT need birth control to regulate your periods. This is a lie that doctors have been feeding to women for decades....

Most birth control pills are synthetic steroid hormones which artificially prevent ovulation. The lie is, the Pill will "regulate periods." The truth is the menstrual flow is artificial, occurring only because the Pill was withheld for one week per month.

Normal menstruation is the result of the cyclic dynamic between natural estrogen and natural progesterone. With contraceptives, the flow is just a result of a clumsy, sledgehammer approach to "managing" one small aspect of an imponderably complex bio-system.

Long term, such a course is foolish, as it has the same pattern of side effects as those for estrogen dominance: coronary artery disease, breast cancer, endometrial cancer, strokes, high blood pressure, liver dysfunction, respiratory allergies, digestive disorders, depression, blood clots, osteoporosis, and weight gain.

Instead of synthetic hormones that will cause major health problems for you in the future (when you are an "old" lady like me), look into a natural progesterone cream. It will help regulate your periods without poisoning you.

You can go to Planned Parenthood - get a trusted friend/family member to take you. They work on a sliding $ scale so you won't have to use your insurance if you don't want to.

But, what would be more logical and would carry no risk of 'getting caught' would be to bring your Mom to your regular doc with you and have the doc explain to her why you need it. Maybe coming from the doc will take some of the shock off.

The only way to get birth control pills is to see a doctor.

I guess I don't understand why, if you need them to regulate your periods, your mom would kill you for taking them. It'd be like your mom being mad that you took Tylenol for a headache...

To my knowledge you have to go through a physician to be prescribed medications, including birth control medications. How old are you? There must be some reasonyour parents won't allow you to go to a gynecologist. My guess is that you're about 12-14 years old and wishing to get birth control because you want to become sexually active. Dumb idea....Grow Up!
