Look confident, and hustle. Act like you belong, know what you do best and try to take advantage of your strengths, whether its dribbling, passing, jumping or shooting the rock. By all means don't try to be something you are not, you will just look stupid, play within yourself and you will be alright...Good Luck.

I say practice. If you have a basketball net at home or near you take advantage of it. Also you should maybe watch a game on the weekend or something. Just try to work on fundamentals like shooting, dribbling, passing, and rebounding. You can get more specific about your style of play when you get comfortable with your skills. Conditioning is also important. Work out a little and improve your lower and upper body strenghth and I think you will make it.

As a coach I can tell you the best way to prepare in such a short time is concentrate on your conditioning. Do jogging with interval sprints mixed in.
Run with a basketball if possible. It forces you to use your legs and not your arms.
If you have access to a hoop, just shoot foul shots and corner shots. They will impress the coach the most.
Good luck and hope you make it!

Go to the library, or on the Internet and research the rules, positions, etc.

Then just follow the coach's request (such as dribbling, shooting, etc) on Monday and it'll work out.
