You should cry... you should let it all out.
You never want to hold these kinds of things in.
You don't want to build it all up and later have it all explode like a volcano.

Things to do to get it off your mind though is to do things that you like to do. Or you can just go to sleep. You'll feel more refreshed after a nice nap.

I don't know about taking a walk. Because you have a lot of time to think... and you know you're gonna find yourself thinking about him.... and once you start thinking about him, you'll probably start to cry. You'll be crying while you're walking outside... in public. Not a really good idea.

Or you can hang out with your girly friends to make you feel better.

Think of all things that aren't related, listen to music, do a hobby or call that person ^^ Or take a piece of paper and write down whatever you feel, feel about this person or write a poem, a story, anything. If nothing works it's okay to cry. Most likely you'll start crying in the evening because you're tired and lonesome. Just take a bath, drink something warm and go to bed early. next day the whole thing will seem much less sad. In any way if you really have the need to call the person and just talk.

It is easier said than done when someone tells you to simply not cry. But in truth crying might be what the doctor ordered. It is a stress re-leaser for you and can ease your pain for the one you love. The real issue however is how to release your emotions without crying. You can draw, do your favorite activity, write, meditate, play a sport of your choice, go shopping, go to the movies, hang with friends, the list goes on and on. You can pretty much do anything you want that is constructive to help you not cry when the feeling comes up.

You might as well do what makes you feel better. To hold it in, will only make you angry. I cry. I drive and cry. And my daughter only lives 15 mins from me. But I never hear from her. If we do see each other, she's crabby or wants to leave after a few minutes. So I cry alot.

if you dont want to cry then go do something for yourself and pamper yourself instead of crying. Crying does relieve alot of tension and stress on the other had. Also if you are mad I like to go for a drive or go to a special place that noone can find me and sit and think.

Call up friends and make sure that you have company around you. Being alone will just make you want to be mushy and you'll end up crying. Or you could just immerse yourself in work or something really complicated to take your mind off of it.
