we did tell the owners that it was lose, and they just said they'd come and get it. they didn't even say thanks for letting us know or i'm sorry or nothing!! how rude!! that was the second time in 2 days it had gotten loose we later found out from another neighbor who caught it yesterday.

You'll need to call the Animal Control Department in your area (this is usually associated with the police department). Depending on where you live, there may be ordinances that preclude your neighbors from having "barnyard" animals in city / town settings. Call Animal Control and tell them just what you told us. They'll let you know what your rights are, and if the pig is an illegal pet or not.

There is probably a city ordinance against it, but even if there is not, you have the right to have the pig stay out of your yard. Tell the neighbors your concern - if they appear not to care, then call law enforcement to help - police or sheriff.

I am not sure if it is illegal our not, but I would definetly call the nearest animal shelter if it got out again, they could probally give you further instructions

call the owner and tell them to come get it.
