and things like that. i enjoy screaming, emo screaming, metal, nu metal and rock. more so if its heavy i will like it. i want unknown not popular bands... thanks!

thankx so much, most of these bands i know and love myself, 30 secs, norma jean red jumpsiut p!ATD but there were a few i dont know, ill check them all out! ill choose best answer of the band i like the best!

I would say Iron Maiden, Megadeth, and Dragonforce. I don't know much about screaming bands, but I recommend Killswitch Engage and Trivium.

If I were you I'd go for 30 Seconds to Mars. The singer is a really good screamer. And if you want more ideas watch on Fuse No. 1 Countdown, but make sure it's the rock one or viewer's choice. They change weekly.

Also, a website called CDBaby has a search function that lets you type in the name of a well-known band, like My Chemical Romance, and will pull up bands that sound kind of like them.
A friend of mine who was a big fan of Linkin Park liked Type O Negative. I never got into them as much, but Brigade are pretty good, as is Aiden. The Bled aren't too bad, either, but not personal favorites.

Dream Theater is the best progressive metal band. BTW, progressive metal means it is very melodic, and has deep, emotional (not emo), intelligent, and sometimes hard to grasp lyrics.
Other good bands include Pink Floyd (not metal but, best band ever), Iron Maiden, Metallica, Death, Nine Inch Nails, Pain of Salvation, and Dark Tranquillity

How do you feel about blues? Here's a link to a really good band, and I normally listen to metal, but these guys are good. I know the guitar player, personally, and he used to play in some pretty good rock bands. The band is called Moreland, Arbuckle, and Floyd.

i like Korean bands from YG company (psy is in there yet one guy would not propose the full united states) attempt massive Bang and 2NE1 from Korea. There are jap bands (arashi, orange selection, Alice 9, Utada Hikaru a tone extra) there are Russian bands that are in basic terms staggering if i ought to in basic terms understand what they pronounced. Europe has a tone of superb song. In US we've large bands that on no account make it to the "radio" standards.

Go to www.artistweekly.com and do a search for a completely unknown slovakian band called "Appendix." Don't judge it too quickly. It takes a while to wrap your head around it, but it is amazing music.
For something more mainstream, I just saw Say Anything in concert and they rocked.
led zeppelin is not a HIM.
