Your absolutely normal, when your young it's kind of like your period is trying to come up with it's own time table on when it's the best time to appear. It's sort of figuring "you" out. Just be patient, it will all work it's self out. But then again you just might be one of the girls that her period is "never" regular, and that's all normal too, but when you get married and try to have children that's when the fun really starts, because you never know when the right time to conceive is. I know that's jumping the gun a little, but feel good in knowing that everything is good.

When you first start your periods they can be a bit irregular so it could just be that, but I suppose it depends how long you've been having periods for and whether they have always been like this or whether it is something that's just started happening.
If your periods were fine but then changed, then I would see a doctor. If you have only recently started then I don't know what to advise really - it is probably just your body adjusting but I don't want to say that and have you bleed to death!!
There is health advice on everything including periods on http://www.nhsdirect.org.uk - this is a website of the British National Health Service but you don't have to be in the UK to run a search on it. Have a look.

Chances are your body is still trying to get used to your period. A roommate of mine was 20 and still didn't have regular period.
If it really bothers you though, go ahead and look into some birth control. Birth control helps to regulate your period, even if you are a virgin.

For most ladies it's very normal. You need to make an appointment with your doctor to get it checked out. To regulate your period they will most likely put you on birth control.

you are young and your body is still adjusting to the changes. If you do get on a pill it will regulate you so you can predict your mentrual cycle. Hope this helps
