have gone 12p overdrawn because of the bank taking the overdraft debit interest (for being overdrawn).

I was told by an English person that I will be ok, I called again to confirm this as they should all be singing from the same hymn book, and and INDIAN person tells me that I will be charged!

I am angry becase they cant speak clear English so what do they know about my money !

Who else is pissed off with these foreign call centre?

Every call centre will have the same training, but I can understand your frustration with the language barrier.

I would pop in the branch and inform then you have been given two different pieces of information, and would like to know the right one. If they say you won't be charged then ask for it in writing.

Unfortunatly foreign call centres are what most companies are using now to cut costs. They can employ several "overseas" workers (ie Indian call centres) for the same cost as one in the UK. All companies are wanting to maximise their profits (as are the shareholders!). Its a way of the future.

We are also wanting things as cheap as possible, hence why companies have to use these overseas call centres.

I know exactly what you mean I answered a question about this before and said best thing you can do is phone for something they are selling in your case maybe a mortgage and keep doing it you will soon get someone who knows what they are on about if you check my answers you will see good luck it makes me sick .

why call? do what i do, go to your local branch and shout at them, and if they say you have to call there "call centre" demand one of there phones as it is there mistake and you are a customer, and you call this customer service etc etc,

in other words.... make a fuss they will soon sort out your problem just to get rid of you......

also, when they ring you and then ask you to prove who you are, say no and ask them to prove who they are, and you will not ring them back, as they wanted to speak to you, you are quite happy at the moment and you did not need to ask the bank anything....

it annoys them and makes you feel better...

screw them up...... be annoying
