Used to use Tide, but tried Kirland brand (Costco Warehouse) and it works just as well but much, much cheaper.
Since my darling daughter was born 18 mos ago, I switched to the unscented/no dye type and it works great too.
I'm doing 12+ loads of laundry a week and a gallon of the stuff will last nearly 6 months in my front loader.

Tide or the Costco brand if I'm nearby. Every-so-often I get the cheap brand Sun. Soap residue is a problem after awhile....especially with detergents with many additive. Using Sun once in awhile which has no additives, remove the soap residue....but then I eventually go back to Tide.

I use Persil. It is a biodegradable German detergent that is good for sensitive skin and cleans REALLY well while being gentle on clothes. It dissolves very quickly and doesn't contain particles of fiberglass like most detergents. It is made by Miele, and it smells SO GOOD.
