It's a tie.....
I worked in a department store (Hechts, which is now Macy's) where customers and management treated you like crap, I made minimum wage, stayed on my feet for 10 hours, and they were total dictators about the way we dressed. Oh, I'd like to tell those sumbitches off to this day. I actually had a math teacher from my high school come in and argue with me because she wanted to exchange something for a different item that was more expensive and didn't want to pay the difference (this is basic math here, $20 does NOT equal $25) and she berated me, then the manager let her have her way because it was easier than sticking up for me. That stuff happened all the time.

I've worked some call center jobs - the sales/telemarketing jobs are the worst ones.

I also worked in the office of a day care center. I don't even like kids, but I needed the job. I kept getting stuck in the classroom because the aides were calling in. I got kicked in the face by a kid who didn't want to take a nap and some other kid wanted me to wipe his butt (which I declined, he was like 5 yrs old). I also had to spend extensive amounts of time inventorying cookies and crackers in the kitchen cabinets. I quit after about a month or so.

I used to work at a company that raised funds for charities by utilizing unsolicited phone calls (telemarketing). After working there for about a month I realized that only 5% of the funds we raised actually went to the charities we were representing. I quit because I felt the job was very unethical. I also was cussed out quite a bit because I was cold calling people

worked for this twit......total male chavenist pig. He insisted the ladies wear dresses. I even had this one pant-set that the legs were so big you could barely tell. Butthead had the office manager tell me not to wear it anymore. He would make me grind and brew his coffee. And, take his personal bank deposits. And, many other things I am sure I've "blocked out". Oh, he was a you know what. It got to the point that I cried every day before work, so I left. Now, I work at a dream job (well it's a dream for me)

Waitress/hostess/phone operator. All 3, same place, same job, very very busy! I worked in an Italian restaurant and the food was amazing and free for me, but people are so rude to their servers and jip on the tips. i got horrible hours too, I was always set to work on the most busy days. it got so hectic at the restaurant that i had to quit because i was so stressed out an i never had any free time.

I also had to hide my many ear piercings because my boss was afraid it would "scare" the customers...

I had a job with the town I lived in as a freshman in high school. They made me cut weeds around all of the tombstones(on hands and knees with a pair of shears) at the local cemetery. They told me it would build character., all it did was give me a screaming case of the willies.
