i am 35 weeks i lost my plug sunday....no blood just clear and snotty....lost a lil more on monday....still not in labor...which is good cuz its still a lil early...but....i wanna no your stories....
1. what color was it
2. when did you lose it
3. how long after that did you go into labor
4. did you lose it all at once or lil by lil
5. share any other details that may be interesting...

Don't really remember anything about the mucus plug with my first child. It must have come out when I went pee or something because I don't remember it all all. I'm now 30weeks, so we'll see with this one.

My mucus plug brok about 4 weeks before I delivered it is a clear to yellow-brownish in color, but may also be pinkish it can be a glob stringy or just wetness. Sometimes it would be a little other times it would be a lot. Passing a mucus plug is a sign that your cervix is dilating and your body is starting to prepare for birth. Labor could be hours, days, or even weeks. If the mucus seems normal in color, there is no need to contact your health care provider immediately. You may want to let your doctor know at your next visit. UNLESS your discharge suddenly becomes bright red and the amount is more than about two tablespoons). You could be experiencing a complication such as PLACENTA PREVIA OR PLACENTAL ABRUPTION.

I have three kids, but only have a mucas plug story from the first one. . .the other two were induced early (due to the large size of the baby. We breed 'em big ;)
At first I thought it was just some kind of discharge, but I realized the snotty looking leakage was my mucas plug. It never 'popped' out completly, but leaked. But then the leak became clearer and runnier. .. I went in that evening for a scheduled induction (not becuase of the leakage. . .but becuase I was 10 days late). Turned out they tested the leakage and it was amneotic fluid. It was very little leakage, so I never thought it could've been the fluid. Dr. assumed after the fact that there was a tear in the top of the bag (near my ribs) and that's why it leaked SLOWLY. They started the pictocin that evening at 8pm and son was born at 7am. 11lbs 7oz! (no c-section.)

I was 39 weeks and 5 1/2 days when I lost mine... I had been having contractions all day, we went to the hospital, they sent me home. Came home, the contractions got worse, and I lost my mucous plug in the wee hours of the morning the next day. My contractions were more intense after, but irregular in time. Long story short, they induced labor about 26 hours after I lost it. My neighbor lost hers around 34 weeks and went into labor 2 weeks later (her water broke at her baby shower!). 1. Mine was also clear and snotty, it was like a ball the size of a golf ball. 2. I lost mine a good 10 hours into labor. I had went to the hospital 2 times and they sent me home. When I was on my way out the second time one of the nurse's stopped me and told me to have a hot bath and it would bring on the labor. I got out of the tub and had to pee and that's when I lost it. I lost it all at once. Once I did lose it my contractions came more frequent and then they finally kept me in the hospital. I was in labor and delivery for a total of 42 1/2 hours. I pushed for 45 minutes of that 42 1/2 hours. They had to break my water to make me dialate more. so maybe you losing yours before labor will cause your labor and delivery to go faster than mine did.

well everyone is diff. me i lost mine all at once i thought i peed my pants i went into labor before i lost my plug but didnt know it my contractions didnt start for about 30 min to and hour. i lost it 30 min after my sis had her baby. that was fun i was in labor for 17 hrs. they are only 21 hrs and 50min apart going by the time she was born that is. and i was only 9 days before my due date. well good luck and congrats
