I had a c-section nearly 3 years ago and have had nothing but trouble ever since. I have had a number of infections and the site is always itchy, red and quite sore. Every doctor I have ever asked about this has basically put it down to me being overweight and because the scar is under a 'roll of fat' it doesnt get much air so gets infected easily. To an extent I can handle this but surely Im not the only overweight person to ever get a c-section??
Anyways, last week I had to go have an internal ultrasound due to problems with my periods. The ultrasound showed that I have fluid and blood 'floating in and out' of the c-section scar on the inside of my womb. My GP has no idea what that means and has reffered me to a GYN. Of course I cant get in to see one until the end of the month and in the mean time I am freaking out. Does anyone have any clue what this means??

After my c-section, because I was overweight, my scar had a hard time closing at the bottom.( I was cut from the navel down). It was because of the roll of fat. I had to lay down and hold the roll up to air it out. I also had to put peroxide on the scar. I haven't had any more problems since. What is happening to you sounds so wrong. Your doctors should be paying more attention to you and I can't believe that they are doing nothing about it. It could be infected. It sounds like your scar on the inside didn't heal correctly.I would see what the doctor says and if there are problems, consult a lawyer.Seriously. 3 years is a long time to be going through this. Good luck.

That's odd...i'm overweight also and had a c-section. My cut healed fine...At times i have to constantly clean it as sweat and dirt get there. Some times i get soreness and it goes away...or little cuts next to the scar. If you got fluid and blood maybe u should c another doctor. I'm thinking if u had many problems could be because the doc was enexperience and didn't close up right. They should of checked after 4 weeks of ur c-section to c if it healed right. Get in as soon as possible. Call other clinics or u can call the nurse line...i'm sure ur state has one or ur clinic and ask to speak to a doctor right away....u have do something now before it gets worst.
