This sounds nuts, but I clean all surfaces with Purell hand sanitizer. Works very well and dries quickly so it won't drip down into your screen.

Actually.... paper towel or any paper product can put lots of very fine scratches on plastic. Paper is made from wood fiber. I you do use paper towel, use only the softest kind, and be very gentle.

A good product to use is the cloth people use to clean eyeglasses. If you wear glasses, you should already have some. If not, you can visit any eyeglass places and ask for one. (most of the times, free of charge)

Most of the LCD panel manufacturers recommend using only water, but I have never had problem with Windex, or mild alcohol.

Use a lint free cloth only. The kind they use for eye glasses or electronics. Do not use cleaning formulas on the scree. You can spray a very little eye glass cleaner on the cloth. PhotoDon.com or any electronics website or eyeglass place can supply the cloth. DO NOT use paper towel.
