My mistake. One day makes a helluva difference on astronomical events.

If I had the proper setup, I'd watch it, (but on Wed., not Thurs.)

(I became interested in astronomy on Dec 18, 1944 when I saw the moon occult Venus)--a long time ago...

Are you thinking of the transit of Mercury across the Sun? For many of us, that's happening on Wednesday.
