Think about why you dumped him. Was it a valid reason, something that will likely continue in the future (ie, he cheated on you, abused you physically/verbally, you had nothing in common, etc)? In that case it would be best to stay broken up.
It's normal to still have feelings for someone after the break-up, but these will fade in time. Even if you really love someone, it doesn't mean the relationship is right - take a sober, honest look at it and decide if your head agrees with your heart.
Whatever you do, be honest with both men - tell the ex about your hook-up if you get back together, and/or tell your new beau that you recently broke up with someone and may not be ready for a serious relationship too soon.

Well...you can't be too happy with the one you're with now if you still love your ex. I'd check it out. your ex is still on your mind. Relationships are hard enough as it is. Give your love a chance to grow while you still have it.
Get back with your ex and try again. Then what ever happens you'll know if it works out. At least you two tried.

If it was something trivial or something that can be worked on and the feelings are mutual, why not 'get back with him'?
