I think there must have been an error there.
I read somewhere in Yahoo! Answers homepage, that they are experiencing some fault and some people are been sent warnings incorrectly. And they apologise if anyone has received this.

Violation was correct as the chances that you were replying to the most intelligent person in the world is is minimal but the odds that you were replying to a moron were pretty good, Only the finest Human brain is the best processor in the world at the moment.

There is NOTHING wrong with that, in-fact I agree totally.
I too, received a violation for a little bit of frivolity to a question that was rather difficult to understand, no bad language, no nasty remake? Lets face it, there ARE some questions that simply BEG to have a retort rather then a full answer, and looking at the other answers, my one was quite harmless! I have seen some stuff that is disgusting in content and sits there for weeks, nothing, begs the question HOW, WHAT WHY???
Maybe I could get a job on YAHOO dealing with neanderthals!!!

I agree with you - I Don't think its the most powerful, the most complex yes.Perhaps the person the person that gave the violation was jealous because he didn't think of the answer.

Nothing wrong with your answer. Some people are given violations for such stupid reasons, but if you don't like an answer why not simply give it a thumbs down, violations can be a bit harsh.

If the question was in "Computers & Internet" I would have to say that would warrant a warning note of some sort, but I do happen to agree with your answer. It's shame there are so many unused ones out there :-)

Being a sado. The idea of yahoo answers is that you provide the best answer for a person who needs a solution. Brains in a PC would drip and short circuit the unit :-). Dont be clever we are all trying to help each other....

Well you have the right to answer the question with what you think - so I wouldn't say that should be a violation - it's not rude or sarcastic.
