I like to get really cool gifts that my daughter forgets to ask for, and surprise her. She always works hard at school.

Plan a mother/daughter day at the mall and other stores, saying you are just window shopping getting ideas for other people's gifts. In passing, when she's really not consciously trying to give you ideas, she'll say things like "oh, that's cute," and then walk away, and you can make a mental note to surprise her with something similar. My mom always used to do this when I was younger. I'd forgotten that I'd commented on something, but my mom always remembered.

Other things that are sure to please, maybe a small tv for her room? dvd player, mp3 players, etc. Anything electronic is usually a hit.

Depends what she likes I'm going to be 13 3 days after Christmas if she doesn't have 1 and ipod is awesome and something you ll use ALL of the time im practically surgically attached to mine if not i really want a purse like a nice ever day one from Coach If that's too expensive take her on a shopping spree for some mother daughter time I love to go shopping on Sundays for hours with my mom its a great way to bond especially since 12 is an extremely hard age with boys, clothes parties exc. Also jewelry is awesome my favorite jewelry stores are Tiffany's, Nordstrom and Target Juicy couture is really awesome too i wish you luck and i know whatever you get her shell like because girls love getting presents!!

My 8 year old had Sylvanians for her birthday and needs the Polly Pocket roller Coaster for Christmas. both are creditors products - which means that they could show them even as they have grown out of twiddling with them, or you are able to promote them on and redeem some money. Mine also presented she wish a karaoke gadget.

Hey,

I'm 14 and at 12, I liked clothes... I'd take her out shopping, a day downtown...... A day with you and take her out for lunch and spend like 1000 dollars on her... That's what I'd want, but maybe it's a little excessive....
