Ive got this friend which I have deep feelings for. He had to move away for work, and weve kept in touch through email. I get frustrated and lonely because we dont spend anytime together anymore. Emails just doesnt cut it. I feel like a wuss talking about how I miss the good times. He never says anything back, or even talks about how he misses me. So I decided to stop responding altogether, and wait awhile. Today, after three days of No response from me. He asked--IF I was still around! ... Should I write him back or wait more.. Does this mean that he misses me and just dont have the balls to admit to it?

I am sure he cares about you and misses your emails and attention. I think, he may not have romantic feelings for you. Sorry. If you need to go on with your life then don't respond. If you want him to remain in your life because you really care for him unconditionally (meaning you will accept whatever he has to offer) then write him back. He might decide he doesn't need you. Then you have lost even his friendship.

A relationship is something between two people. it becomes a disaster when the people implied have different aspirations or needs from that relationship. You really miss him as he was SO important fulfilling your emotional and social needs! Maybe he saw you as a very good friend with no other emotional ties. Try not to punish him with your silences or moods or you may lose him for ever. Discuss your feelings and maybe, just maybe you build up a mature relationship based on both parties agreement. When i say maybe i mean that sometimes when people are not around we (or I do) tend to idealise that person, then meeting them it comes that they have as many drawbacks as everyone else.

He asked, so of course he misses you. However, that does not necessarily mean that it is in a romantic way. If you really want to know how he feels, ask him. Hopefully, your friendship is stron enough to survive that. Good luck!

i think that you should write something short, like yeah im around or how are you and im fine. just make him get concerned. if he doenst show any concerns and emotions then he doesnt care. then you should not care neither.

Maybe you should come clean with him and tell him how you feel. At least this way you'll know where you stand with him.
